Trends 2011: Vintage Asian, 20’s and 60’s

Helloo!! to all my readers sorry my posts haven’t been so continuous lately but been having to keep my 5 year old entertained now that the school year has came to an end, which  means more time doing crafts, baking, swimming and attending kids events than writing…

But I found some little extra usuful information i had to share with you, Vintage.. is still here! yes but in a more specific way look out for this trends in the next few months:

Oriental: sophisticated yet functional oriental fashion is blooming, along with its silky fabrics and floral prints, kimonos are on the hot. Many designers and fashion houses including , , , , , went oriental this spring-summer, so keep an eye on this trend, although you wont find many of this styles in charity or second hand shops (best place for true vintage) am sure many high street brands will start sporting this styles soon. ( I recommend in USA Forever 21)

1920’s: uber sophisticated and chick, yes that is the 1920’s but be careful we don’t want it to look like a costume but like a simple yet modern trend inspired by the flamboyant 1920’s; wide leg pants, masculine cuts and fur trims will do the trick.

and last but not least…

1960’s: one of the most influential eras, the 60’s keep coming back in terms of fashion; look for babydoll cuts, short hems, and lace dresses, forget about the old prom look and be a 60’s babe by keeping it simple.

hope that gives you a clue to what to look this season.
