Well since I posted about the Eco -friendly, Homemade Laundry detergent earlier this week (How to Eco-Friendly Laundry Detergent ) I decided to also post about the fabric softener sheets. Yes, instead of spending $2 approximately – maybe more- for a package of fabric softener sheets (the kind you pop into your tumble dryer) why not make your own? Not only is cheaper but you get to recycle too.
- an old towel (Use, reuse, recycle)
- fabric softener of your choice
- a small container. I used a picture case. I purchased it at Michaels for less than $2.
Then soak them in fabric softener. Do not dilute, simply pour the fabric softener all over the sheets until they are completely soaked.
Hang to dry until they are completely dry.
Tada! there you have it. You can pop them in the tumble dryer and they are good for at least 10 uses per sheet. After that repeat process and reuse.
