Yoga for the Warrior Goddess in you #BeBrave

Braless pantless yoga? yes, please!

But, Oh wait! no! cover yourself, girl! pfff… what’s the big deal? If I was wearing a swimming suit twice as small as my underpants and a bikini top covering just my nipples you’ll have less of a problem than you do with a top and knickers? Grow up!

We are body and soul, we are skin and bones and perfectly imperfect curves.

My body is not perfect, but it is mine to love.

I do yoga for me, not for others. I do yoga because it makes me feel free and in touch with myself from within. Yoga makes me feel in tune with my own awesome badass energy, and at peace. So the question I get: “if it’s for yourself, why do you have t post a picture on social media?” *rolling eyes*

We are in the 21st century and skin is still an issue. We see semi-naked breasts feeding a child and Oh the horror! Go cover yourself girl (what? that is what boobs are for, have you seen other mammals?) To society and all it’s dated conservative views I say “Wake up!” Women, your curves, your skin, your birth marks, your extra rolls, your stretch marks are yours and you do whatever it is you want to do with all that.

The Power of YOU

I am not saying get naked and post it to the world. What I am saying is, let’s try to move away from the preconceptions imposed by society and beauty standards. Let’s allow ourselves to be happy with who we are, inside and out. Trust me this is not easy coming from an introvert but I have learned that I am the only one who has the power to make me happy, and other people’s opinions of me are not my problem. Be the best version of you. Be compassionate, be honest, be transparent (with a hint of mystery) but don’t let anyone tell you that you are not worth it.

Oh, that Hippie Millennial Feminist thing?
Stop right there and go back to your corner of the world, behind your computer screen and control your trolling impulses. If believing in radical self-love and body positivism makes me a hippie millennial feminist, so be it. Not a fan of labels myself but, hey! Embrace your inner goddess, shine like a star, be your own magical rainbow unicorn under the storm.

Oh! and flaunt those curves!

Namaste!
